2000 Taylor Fladgate CORKED!!

Post by Andrew Kirschner »

We decided to see how our Taylor Fladgate 2000 Vintage was faring, and much to our disappointment, the first bottle was well and truly TCA’d to ruin. Very, VERY disappointed.

Well that stinks! And the bottle looks pristine. I hope you had another one to open.

How sad. Did you have a backup bottle of port to replace it?

We opened a second bottle from the same batch and it was lovely. I just hate losing a nice bottle. Thinking I may try cooking with it and see if the TCA taste gets burned off.

In my experience is it does not get burned off. Don't want to see you ruin a meal.

That’s a bummer. Glad the second was good though.
