Douro 13-15 June

Post by B Sant »

I'm working on securing a few visits while we are in the Douro 13-15 June. We will be staying at Quinta do Tedo in Santo Adrião. I have a visit to Wine and Soul secured. I was hoping to visit Museu de Ervamoira, but they are closed for holiday. A few other places have indicated they are closed for visits on weekends. Looking for 1-2 other places to visit while we are there. We prefer a more personalized experience over a touristy spot. Thank you for any recommendations.

Quevedo in Sao Joao da Pesqueira would be a less touristy and more personal visit.

Tedo is a nice place to stay. I hope you enjoy it. June will be starting to get hot so pack some shorts and bug spray for the evenings.

You're close enough that you could easily visit Quinta do Mourão at 5100-428 Lamego, Portugal.

I can't remember whether or not anyone I know has been back since they were sold to Falua, but they used to be a fabulous visit. It is certainly more touristy now than it was in the old days.

I suspect that either the Mother and Sons tasting, or the Port Experience tasting would be very nice.

Thank you. It certainly looks like a good visit, though $$$.

They are expensive, but if you can swing it, it's certainly worth going. Their TWAIOA and their White Ports with age are sensational!
