TN: 2006 Quinta da Aveleda Vinho Verde

You got to be kidding me!!! Six bucks? This is a pretty killer, refreshing thirst quenching wine with character. Sure... a bit simple, but $6!!! I'll be loading up for the summer. Love that slight "fizz".

Marco,

I have been drinking the Aveleda for a dozen years now and it is so much better than any others I have had in the same price range. On my last visit to Portugal in May, I tried the three tiers of VV that Aveleda puts out. I'll have the TNs in a FTLOP newsletter in 2-3 months. They also make a 100% Alvarinho which is pretty outstanding too!

Agreed. I tasted the entire lineup at VinPortugal in NYC earlier in the year. Excellent value here.

Have you tried a Vinho Verde called Fuzelo yet? I saw a good review in either Decanter or some other wine magazine and was going to give one a try... for about $5, this is almost stealing...

No, but every year I find a VV that I enjoy and buy a case to consume with salads during the summer months. Thanks for the tip!
