I'm not very good to describe rosé wines. But this one is worth discovering. I'd say that for a rosé it has good concentration of fruit, some floral and strawberry notes, balanced with a hint of alcohol on the finish that is showing grapefruit flavours.
A very good rosé on hot days!

The Rose from Portal was the very first Rose I said "WOW"
!!!
-The wine really impressed me. I'm talking about the 2004 vintage and have not tasted the 2005 nor the 2006 yet.
I even brought a few cases back home and shared some bottles with friends only to get comments such as "Yes! - This is true WINE !!"
At the time (in 2005) the retail price for a 2004 Portal's rose was €8/bottle until sold out. I guess the 2006 vintage is also priced around the €7 - €8 per bottle.
Thank you Frederick for bringing this wine to this Forum :)
