1995 Graham's Quinta dos Malvedos Vintage Port

Post by Richard Henderson »

I have posted on this fine port several times. I was looking for a bottle for late summer drinking. I have not opened much VP for a while. This was just what I was looking for. Plenty of balanced dark berry fruit, just sweet enough. Smooth on the palate and nice finish. 48 hours later , still hanging in there. Never very hot. 91 points.

It may be time to pop a cork and try myself -- I have a few sleeping but haven't tasted them yet.
Thanks for the TN!

Cellartracker says I have 9 more. I had a couple of cases at one time, purchased for around $20/bottle. I may slow down on them a bit. Not sure what their life expectancy is but there may be 10-20 years left .
I would say it is "forward" ready now, surley not premature to drink.

I've read other good TN's about this Malvedos, but I haven't found any bottles yet. If I come across it I'll be buying some.

We carry the 1996 and 1998 but not the 1995. My distributor's don't seem to carry it either (at least on the West Coast).

If the 1995 is worth it, please let me know. I personally haven't tried any of the Malvedos'.

Thanks,

Mark
