Yes Roy, I am back for "port season". Here in Texas we have had the hottest average temperature on record. A front dropped us to 55 degrees one day this week but we hit 90 today. Some port season.
I opened this 94 Fonseca this week. It opened a little dumb and clumsy, out of balance. Day 2 it was shallow and thin. Day 3, there it is!!!!
Fully opened classic Fonseca nose. Dark ripe berry fruit with niutmeg and cinnamon spice on the nose. Full mouth feel and coating. More full spcie and bark berry flaovrs. Lingering finish.
I am going to open one of the 70 Fonseca's i shared with you Roy.this Friday at a charity wine auction

1994 Fonseca Vintage Port
Richard Henderson
Enjoy the Fonseca this evening. Please do post your impressions when you have a moment Richard. Thanks for the insight into the 1994. I was sorry it was left out of the mini Fonseca vertical I enjoyed a couple of weeks ago.
