TN: 2004 Cabriz Reserva

Post by Roy Hersh »

2004 Cabriz Reserva - DOC, Dao Red - A nice and simple wine made better by the food pairing, the nose of this wine was smoky with some underbrush and cherry pipe tobacco. On the palate it showed dark cherry and tart cranberry flavors, was a bit thin and angular. The finish was modest and this is probably moderately priced, as for the "Reserve" moniker, I don't get that sense from tasting it. 83 points 12-07-07
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

"Reserve" is used quick loosely in Portugal, especially in Dao I have noticed. It means a little more in Douro.
