The color on this was still showing some younger redish hints with only a tan edge to reveal its age. The nose was a big cigar box and as some described as ash. The palate still had some strawberries, good acidity, a touch of tannins, with some cedar and carmel to showing its age. The finish was very good and I felt this was drinking at its best right now and would stay there a few more years. I flucuated between 94 and 95 points and due to the good complexity and finish settled on 95 points.

This was the best bottle of 1960 Taylor VP that I have had and would honestly say, possibly the best 1960 VP I have ever had, although a beautiful Mag from Sandeman three nights ago, sure as heck shocked me too!
