Taylor Vargellas 2005 from half bottle -- 89 points
Nose - somewhat closed but some deep red fruits and backdrop of alcohol, isopropal I believe
Very fine and long tannins. Excellent balance. Subdued festive juiciness. It's got that laidback yet intense Taylor thing going.

Any Port in a Storm
2005 Taylor Quinta do Vargellas
Date of tasting 2/24/08 to 2/25/08.
375ML bottle decanted over about 12 hours in wide glass decanter.
Very easy to drink. While will surely improve with age, enjoyable to drink now. Soft. Not overwhelmingly thick as a young VP. Reminded me of 2000 Quinta do Noval Silval when I tasted that around 2003. Sorry to not be more specific about flavors.
