This was the second time I have enjoyed the 1948 Graham's. Upon opening I was greeted with a very fruit forward and youthful nose for a 50 year old Port. The dark purple and ruby color could not have been more perfect, it looked at least 20 years younger. On the palate there was tons of white chocolate, grape and raisin. Typical of Graham was a lovely and extremely balanced sweetness followed by a lingering finish. The only other 1948 I have had that was better than this was the Fonseca with Taylor in third place. This Port was made to last for a century and is one I would love to have more bottles of!
