Some good unique wines like Messias 1997 at a bargain price ... but you better keep close eye on prices here.

Er, I assume you can sniff out my rhetorical questions by now, Glenn.

I was just looking at the thread about the economic influences on Port and then back to my prognostication. Even in this downer of an economy ... if you look at prices on 1963 and 1970 blue chips like Graham's, Taylor, Fonseca etc ... the price has taken a fairly decent jump year over year. That says a lot and exactly what I mentioned in my forecast. I think it will continue to happen, no matter what the world's economy is doing. The oldies are disappearing and in bad economic times ... people tend to want to ... or need to ... drink!

Oh yes, I do. My sarcasm was directed at the web sites (and retailers) who continue to list wines at prices like that.

I mean... seriously... do they actually expect to sell their stock at prices like that? 'Cause, you know, there's this thing called the Internet...

And if they do actually sell like that, can I get a customer list from them? I have this bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell someone...
