1878 Madeira For Sale

Post by daileycollection »

I have been in touch with Roy and he tells me this is the best way to sell my father's collection of these 1878 Christopher's Bual Madeiras . These have been in our family cellar for, I believe, over 40 years. My father owned Spirits of the World, the importer. We have seven bottles. One is a lower fill. Photos available. Further information on request. I would be willing to sell all or individually at a very compelling price. All inquiries please email: daileycollection@gmail.com

I can vouch for Patricia's bottles, for anyone concerned that it is her first posting.

Over the past few weeks, I have inspected the labels, capsules, fill levels, photos and done the research on these gems. They are the real deal, although I've never tasted this wine before. From Mannie Berk of the RWC:
I believe this wine came from the Madeira Wine Association (this is an assumption that it's the same as Shortridge Lawton Bual 1878). I've got a couple bottles of the Christopher's.
I have also spent time on the phone with Patricia and she is quite knowledgeable about Port, a nice surprise!

So, this is to let you know this is a valid offering and given the provenance, a remarkable find for whomever decides to buy one or all of the bottles.

Good luck! :winepour:

I know of one person who grabbed at least a bottle. Anyone else do so?

I'd love to hear how much you enjoy your bottle Marco. If I had some loose change at the moment, I'd grab one too.
