NV Quinta de la Rosa Tonel No.12 10-yr old Tawny

Post by Glenn E. »

From a bottle purchased at the Quinta 9/22/08

Very tawny color - almost orange. May be room influence - the floor is hardwood (oak).

Some alcohol on the nose, but not overbearing. Nothing else of note... it's pretty simple.

Fairly smooth on the palate. It hints that there's going to be a bite, but it never develops. Not particularly noteworth, but pleasant. Tasty for a 10-yr old, which I normally find far too young.

Grape skin and green applies in the finish, with a mildly harsh alcohol after effect. (Sort of a numb feel on the tongue and in the back of the mouth/upper throat.)
