9/24/08 by the glass from the bar at the Pestana Porto
Ruby brown - darker than expected.
Floral and fruity nose, quite pleasant
Faint hints of cinnamon and wood smoke in the mouth, followed by some vanilla.
A somewhat sharper finish, but that's relative. Barely detectable grape skin, eventual apples and caramel.

Re: NV Graham's 30-yr old Tawny
Glenn,
From what you tasted, would you say the bottle had been open long?
Your opinion counts and we'd trust you fully if you'd choose to put a score on your notes. You are ready!

Re: NV Graham's 30-yr old Tawny
I don't think that this bottle had been open all that long - if I remember correctly the bartender told us that the Graham's 30-yr old was one of their more popular Ports. There was more than half the bottle left, so if it sells reasonably quickly I suspect it hadn't been open for more than a week.
It was a tough call between this and the Romariz for 2nd place... I'd probably go with the Grahams simply based on bang-for-your-buck. The 1963 Romariz Colheita was more expensive, but not any more pleasing to me.
