Acker VP Offering

Post by Scott Anaya »

No affiliation, just passing along an email offer of a pretty decent VP selection.

Nice!

Thanks for posting, Scott! I ordered almost a case of various bottles.

I had to laugh, though. When I offered to spell my city, "Sammamish," for him, he said "that's okay, we have another customer out there." To which I replied, "Oh I'll bet that's Roy." He laughed and said yes.  I can't stop running into you Roy, even virtually! :hello:

Yeah, I also got an email from Acker concerning this offering. I REALLY shouldn't even consider pulling the trigger on more Port for at least a few weeks (lately I've found quite a few wines that have been on my "must have" list) - but I'm thinking of snapping up a few bottles that caught my eye.

Grr! Someone else beat me to the F77s so I didn't get the two of those that I ordered. I replaced them with a G66 and 3xG85 though, so that makes a full case now. :)

I hate when that happens, but it wasn't me with the Fonseca. I bought my cases for $49/bottle an expensive price in the day.

Last year at this time I was leading an Acker Merrall Port tasting of Fonseca vs. Taylor back to 1963, which was a lot of fun. They're a great group!
