TN: 2004 Quinta da Romaneira Tinto Douro

Post by Roy Hersh »

Wow, this has really come around since the first time I had it. I enjoyed it when I first tried this at Quinta do Noval. But this bottle which was consumed over a day and a half to really evaluate opened up into a gorgeous wine. I am considering checking in with the importer and negotiating a great deal for everybody ... IF they still have stock available. I am not even sure if this was released yet in the USA. We''ll see ... all I know is I want more and will see if I can arrange a special deal for :ftlop: . Two thumbs way up and it is considerably less money than that of the top Niepoort and Crasto DOC wines.

Has anyone else had this besides the sips we had at Noval?

I don't believe that this was ever imported to the US.

Wow, as I am close to finalizing this, it is very interesting to note that it has never been here before. I had a hard time finalizing my score, as I was torn between a 93 and 94 point decision.
