December 2008.

We are pleased to be able to offer:

24 cases Gould Campbell 1977 Vintage Port £399:00 case 12 bottles
Enormously impressive at two tastings.Still deep, attractive, piquant, dry finish. **** Michael Broadbent

24 cases Warre 1977 Vintage Port £540:00 case 12 bottles
This house makes rather restrained yet rich, flavorful vintage port and a very good tawny called Nimrod. Their vintage ports seem slow to develop, and while they never quite have the voluptuous richness of a Dow, Graham, or Fonseca, they have a unique mineral-scented character that gives them their own complexity and style. The 1977 is quite powerful, very deep and intense, particularly for Warre. 92/100 Robert Parker.

Offered subject unsold and to final confirmation.E&OE

Regards

Dave,

These are much more attractive prices to you than they are to me  :snooty: :help:

That's $50 per bottle. Not bad at all! I just bought a case in the UK in February at $90 per bottle (£540 per case). Yeah expensive... but was the cheapest price in the world at the time... and with perfect provenence.

I haven't decided to pull the trigger or not, but probably worth a small buy.
