2003 Noval Nacional at PLCB

Post by St Dunham »

Wanted to let readers here know about a great deal in PA. There are eight bottles of 2003 on close out for $450.99 + 6% sales tax.

I would like to bite, but this is out of my price range and I'm not in the flipping game. Hopefully a port lover will get these.

Anyone interested should know that PA stores these at room temp :help: , standing up, and they will not ship out of state. Cheers

Stephen, (St. Dunham)

It is a pleasure to have you with us. If you come back and visit, it would great if you'd go to the first thread "Introductions" in the Port Basics area and let us know more about yourself and your love for Port! Welcome aboard and we hope you will enjoy spending time here whenever that is convenient!

I must say, that is a very very good price. Wow!

I don't buy or own anything younger than 1994 Nacionals, most of mine from the 1963-1970 range with just a few younger ones. They just take so long to evolve. I opened a 1967 in February, for Alex B., Andy V., Moses, Sean C. and Julian and I must say it was like looking at a 1985-1994 and tasted so young you'd swear it would be worth waiting 20 years to open the next bottle of of it. It has happened every single time I've opened one from that vintage!

So the 2003, which I have had 4x at least, is a delicious bottle of Port ... but really won't be ready to drink until about 2050 and I won't be around by then.

Rereading my last post, I wonder how many people reading this think I am nuts when I said that $451 is a great price for that bottle?

I for one did not Roy, keeping in mind that you mentioned at least one other vintage that was considered to be relatively good value for $2,000.
