Bottled in 1991 , a 47 year old colheita . timing is everything

Dark brown colour in the center with amber edge .
Spices , not sweet .
I'd say a medium finish , a touch of alcool .
Not what I look for in a colheita with 45+ yrs .

I don't think there's much debate (in my mind); for sure it's true that Colheitas or Tawny loses some freshness with extended bottle aging.Andy Velebil wrote:I know there is some debate about this, but generally I feel older Colheita's lose some of that freshness with extended bottle aging.
