Andy,
I race cat 4 cyclocross and road. Hard to upgrade when you have a 3 year old and a wife that races (she was 2007 Tennessee State Masters Triathlon Champion). But I can dream. My season starts the first weekend in May, and goes through the cyclocross season which just ended here. One reason we don't drink that much port these days is the calories. We talk about it a lot though. Maybe i can get to cat 3 this year if I am lucky.
What about you?
Michael

I race Cat 2. I totally understand the calorie thing. This time of year I am much more careful about what i eat and drink. I'd say you're wife is quite the hammer (in a good way) on the bike. thats a great job.

I have a nice bottle of 2004 Texas Madeira from Haak (I've yet to try this particular one) in decanter and will be opening a 2003 VP as promised.
Just not sure which one to pop for Sunday. Anyone looking for a specific reference point from this vintage?

Not sure what, if any, Port I'll get to this weekend. With a mini-stage race Sat and Sun and overtime between races on Sat night, sleep will probably be the only thing on my mind for sunday....then again, Port does sound good right now. Hmmm, supposed to be meeting some friends tonight for drinks. Maybe a glass of Sandeman 20 year tawny at DCA before hand will do the trick
