Magnums of 1977 Gould Campbell

Are being sold up here in Vancouver for $222 Canadian. That is under $180 USD. A good price? I've never seen this sold in Mag before. These were bottled by the Sym's specificially for the Canadian market and are clearly ex-cellars bottles with great fill levels.

Yeah, that's $50/bottle less than the cheapest listing in the US. And since the cheapest bottle I can find in the US is $135, $180 for a Magnum seems like a steal!

Those same ex-cellars Magnums showed up here early last year at a decent price. They are all gone now IIRC.

I just opened a 1977 Gould Campbell tonight. Awesome port! For a mag the price is good.

Too hard to resist, given the provenance. Thanks for the pricing feedback.

It was hard to pull the trigger. I originally paid $29 for 750s in the early '90s and knowing that, made this a more difficult decision. :wall:

We got the same offer in Ontario last year. I did not hesitate one second to get my hand on a mag of such age and price for Canadian market. Plus it comes in a nice box
