They also will also hold wines for free until it cools off before shipping too.

LOL... I just ordered a bunch of 1985s from them and was headed over here to post a link.

I have a nice little mini-horizontal of 1985s that now stands at 16 bottles!

Yeah, I picked up 4 of the 1970 RCV just for fun... I figured at $30 there's practically no risk.

A nice bottle and I've got a TN of it if you search the Tasting Note section.

Is it really bottled as Real Companhia Velha, or is it Royal Oporto?

When I was adding them to Cellar Tracker, it looked like the main entry was Royal Oporto (RCV) Porto Vintage. But since these were listed as RCV with no mention of Royal Oporto, I chose the RCV Porto Vintage listing much farther down the list of options.

Glenn,

IIRC on one side of the bottle was stenciled Royal Oporto and the other side of the bottle it said Real Companhia Velha. Both in large letters so a bit confusing if you didn't know about this company [shrug.gif] The cool thing was it was in an older style squat type bottle with a waxed top. I don't know if these are the same bottles, but suspect they probably are. When you get them, let me know.

Just got the shipment, and the 1970s are Royal Oporto. I'm not sure why Benchmark had them listed as RCV... Yeah, sure, the company is RCV, but the brand you're buying is Royal Oporto. That's sort of like listing a Graham as Symington Family Estates. [shok.gif]
