What do I have? 1948 Douro Wine Shippers
In a recent cellar purchase that is destined for auction, I picked up two bottles of Porto 1948 Vintage Port. And that's all it says in white stenciled paint on one side of the bottle. On the other side is a paper label that attributes the wine to "The Douro Wine Shippers and Growers Association". Anyone familiar with these bottles?
