Wow, how do you turn that down? Then again, how they heck can any retailer make money on a VP at that price given the wholesale price they pay? Very odd!

I've heard of clearance sales but this just about takes the cake. :twocents: [yahoo.gif]

I bought D'Oliveira's 1973 Boal from this store for about $60 per bottle. They seem to have some good sources. I would buy from them again. Oh yeah, no affiliation except a satisfied customer.

Gary,
I bought a few bottles of this Madeira also, only because it's my birth year and there ain't much in the way of Ports in 1973. I haven't opened one yet, but will probably do so on my next birthday.

I think that the 1973B is on the sweet side for D'Oliveira. Very good QPR. I think that DePrez is sold out of it, unfortunately.

Andy,

Maybe you should fib and tell people your birth year is 1974. Think of the Colheita possibilities and also the great Cabs that exist (and Pinots too) from CA!

Nah, the search for hard to find '73 Ports is far more fun.

I can only imagine what Dom's people in LA are offering the 2003 Smith Woodhouse if here in WA State it went for only $39.95
