1997 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port
From 375 ml. Hints of bruised plum and cinnamon stick from the decanter. 1st night: Upon airing, the nose has evolved to cherry pipe tobacco. Mostly plums on the palate, with a dry, somewhat clipped finish. 2nd night: This has settled down nicely with lovely damson plums and bakers chocolate on the nose, followed by a dark pluminess at midpalate and a lingering, detailed finish. A very solid VP! 92 pts

Kurt,
This is a house that always seems to get left out, yet generally manages to make some very good Ports. Glad this showed well for you.
I know this was a 1/2 bottle, but based on this bottle how long do think until this reaches its peak?

Andy,
Based on how much better this gets with airtime, I would say it easily has another 10 years ahead from 750ml. In the meantime, it's going to be hard to keep your hands off of it.
