Ship to Florida wine store needed
Hi guys,
My dad is going on vacation to Florida. I want to take the occasion to send him some wines so he can bring them back. I just spent 45 mins browsing east coast wine merchant on the web looking for nice Burgundy, old Port, Madeira but haven't find any that yet offer realistic price( cheaper than Quebec ) and availability. I don't want to place 3 orders.
Anyone got some recommendations?
Thanks

I don't know about old Port and your other desires, but this store located in Florida had some really great prices on 2005s a while back.

B21 is a very nice store. I think it's one of the largest sellers in Florida from what I've heard. I've been there a couple times in Tarpon Springs (it's on the other side of the state for me). But I don't think they have too many old ports and I don't remember them carrying any decent madeira. They do have decent cold storage though. The tastings they do are worthwhile if in the area when they do them, typically $25 for around 100 wines of whatever they are tasting. I usually try to get over there for the Bordeaux vs. Cab tasting.
I haven't had too much trouble getting other states to ship to Florida for the most part. For madeira, the Rare Wine Co will ship to Florida now. Good Luck.

B21 have nice Burgundy though and Qta Roriz 2005 at 20$ per bottle, I'd assume it is the 375ml. Look for an arrival of Madeira at the end of January, seems decent to me.
I'll check Rare Wine Co. I normally like what they have!

Have you tried Wine Library (www.winelibrary.com) out of New Jersey? He often has special codes for free shipping that he announces via his tasting videos at tv.winelibrary.com or through twitter. He promised that he'd do free shipping in 2010 at his Gourmet Library (cheeses and such) if the Jets beat Indy... well they did and he did. But you had a 24 hour window to get the code and the code is specific to email addresses.
It looks like he's got more Port than he did when I started watching his tasting videos a year ago, and he's got Burgundy, however he doesn't have much in the way of Madeira.

One of my local b&m shops has 2005 Roriz 750s for US$ 20. For a while B21 had 2005 Vargellas and 2005 Panascal 750s for $30, so I'm guessing that Roriz listing is for a 750 as well. But one should confirm before ordering.Frederick Blais wrote:B21 have nice Burgundy though and Qta Roriz 2005 at 20$ per bottle, I'd assume it is the 375ml. L
