After learning that Chris, a major Douro wine collector and drinker in the UK, had never had this I had to open one for him to try. Luckily we had some time before our dinner reservation so I cracked a bottle and we drank it over about an hour or so. Plenty of stuff going on here and I really enjoy how the minerality balances out the fruit and keeps the finish fresh. This continued to open up and get better as we drank it and I only wish I could have decanted it a few hours ahead of time. None the less, this is a stellar bottle and I was glad Chris got to finally try it.
