1994 Niepoort Colheita Port
Bottled 2006. Mid red colour, light centre. A slightly strange plasticine nose but with plenty of strawberry fruit. Sweet but a little flavourless entry, but the mid-palate is full of hot spice and juniper berries. Some slight heat on the aftertaste and with a finish that concentrates a bitterness on the centre of the tongue. 85/100. Drunk 11 Feb 2010 after 2 hours decanting.

To bad this bottle didn't seem to show well, I've had this many times and although still a youthful Colheita is normally quite a bit better than your experience. I own a number of these, so maybe I'll bring one along so you can try it again next time I see you.

Hmm. I wonder when that might be. I must remember to book off a day's holiday on March 23...Andy Velebil wrote:I own a number of these, so maybe I'll bring one along so you can try it again next time I see you.
