I bought this at the LCBO liquor store in Ontario for 20$ can for a 500 ml. As I don't drink often enough Madeira I could not resists.
No grapes varieties are indicated on the bottle. I guess this is a bland from the 95 vintage. Light amber with green hints on the edge. Complex nose of orange peel, caramel, fresh almonds. Not very intense but satisfying. The mouth is delicate, dry at first, then follow a good smooth sugar palate of dried fruits, fresh nuts, orange peel acidity follows on the dry and slightly bitter finish. A nice entry level Madeira to make it discover to your friend. Easy to drink and this is what I look for, but it could have been a few dollars less to be competitive. 15/20

Living the dream and now working for a Port company
Fred,
Thanks for the note. I assume the grape in this particular bottling is Tinta Negro Mole. You need to take over the LCBO and stop the monopoly!

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
