Price check -- is this reasonable?
Would payiing $800 for a 12-bottle case of Gould Campbell 1977 be reasonable? Price includes shipping.

That seems to be a good price compared to what is currently showing on http://www.wine-searcher.com.
The cheapest price available on wine-searcher in the UK is £59 per bottle before tax and shipping which takes the price to around £62, or £744 for the case of 12. Your $800 is much lower than that!

I scored a case from the UK a couple of months ago. I am very pleased I did, another of the 1980 too.

I am going to take one case. I think they have a second one. Both appear in decent condition, from the photos I received (wineconsigners.com)
