TN: 1967 Cockburn Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 14 hours - Deep ochre in colour, solid red transparent centre and a glowing orange rim. Slightly dusty on the nose, warm and rich, full of spices and Christmas cake. Smooth entry, slight acidic catch, followed by that rich cherry spiciness. Full bodied and flavoursome, with still a touch of tannin. Rich and generous aftertaste, with a long finish that is full of flavour. A delicious port, drinking absolutely at its peak and with no sign of moving off the peak any time soon. 91 points
