TN: 1963 Delaforce Vintage Port

Decant: 4 hours - My oldest Delaforce to date. Deep orange colour, paling in the rim. A slight touch of bottle-stink on the nose that blew off after a couple of hours in the glass but the fruit still came through that. Sweet in the mouth with strawberry syrup and cherries. The marzipan that others noted was very recognisable. Very rich, complex and mouth-filling with tannins still noticeable. Very sweet aftertaste with a terrific length that goes through several phases before disappearing. 5/4. 92 points
