TN: 1970 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 6 hours - Deep red but transparent centre and a deep pink rim. The nose is flat and gives nothing, probably flattened by the smallest hint of TCA. The initial entry is hollow but does eventually fill the mouth with vivid redcurrants but there is always the monster lurking of the TCA. The aftertaste is generous but bitter. Not a good showing of this wine. 87 points
