TN: 1977 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 3 hours - Mature red, clear centre. Distinct spicy nose, stewed damsons and all spice - but an ominous mustiness lurking behind the fruit. Soft fruitiness in the mouth; aerating brings damp cardboard amidst ripe damsons. Lovely aftertaste, sweet and delicate, full of dried cherry and chocolate. Time in the glass allowed the TCA to dominate over everything else. 90 points
