TN: 1985 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: Not known - Light in colour, showing some age and beginning to brick. Complex nose, but showing a faint hint of Douro bake or perhaps mild VA wrapped around a core of sweet redcurrants. A silky texture, full of fruit that is wonderfully mature but still has some youthfully exuberant and spicy tannins. Lots of complexity. A good port beginning to drink well. A big aftertaste of raisins and nuts coated in dark chocolate. Delicious. 91 points
