TN: 1960 Ferreira Vintage Port

Decant: 3 hours - Orange rim, deep orange centre. Bottle stink on the nose, dominating everything else. Sweet entry, but rubbery bottle stink essence dominates over other flavours. Some patience allows a pancake mix flavour to come through, followed eventually by sweet orange marmalade. Short aftertaste, dominated by the sweetness of the orange. A couple of days in the decanter allowed the bottle stink to blow off and the deep, burnt marmalade to show beautifully. 85 points
