TN: 1970 Gould Campbell Vintage Port

Decant: 8 hours - Moderate red colour, clear centre and dark rim. Nose quite high tones, full of rose-hip syrup. In the mouth the wine is balanced, but very young. The acidity slightly overpowers the fruit, the tannins restrained. Lovely fruit up front and then layers of fruit flavours, but not with the same depth of the Fonseca 1970. Elegant, long and delightful aftertaste. 92 points
