TN: 2001 Grahams Crusted Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 1 hour - Bottled in 2001. Deep red, almost opaque in colour and holding strong on the rim. Lots of fruit on the nose with some youthful blueberry but also some lovely black damsons. Very silky texture, delightful on the tongue and a beautiful balance in the fruit-forward wine yet still with just the right amount of acidity to give structure and lift. Absolutely lovely balance. Excellent port. The aftertaste is fruity and quite lingering, but not big, and shows a vigorous pepperiness. 89 points
