TN: 1964 Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage Port

Decant: Just Opened - Pale tawny colour, same as a 20 year old tawny blend. Nose of toffee apples, touch of heat. Sweet, sugary entry. Strong wave of acidity that burns the tongue (in a pleasant way) but which fades to a lovely sugary / burnt caramel flavour that fills and caresses the mouth. Mouthfilling presence of the wine continues on the aftertaste and lasts a massive time. (NB: Christian Seely commented that this bottle was showing particularly well this evening compared to others he has had in the past.) 95 points
