TN: 1970 Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage Port

Decant: 12 hours - My original notes have been misplaced so this is written from memory. A strong wine which is a few years from peak. Roy noted that in his experience this was not a good showing from this bottle and that others are generally less mature. Nevertheless, the colour was a deep red and was darker than all other ports this evening except the Graham. The nose was a little closed but the flavours in the mouth and aftertaste were very enjoyable. I finished this port as no-one else was really taken by it in the same way as I was. Very fine and with 1-2 decades of life ahead of it. NR points
