Decant: 6 hours - Mid red in colour, easily transparent centre and a mid-coloured rim. A pleasant nose, very inviting, like warm Christmas cake straight from the oven. A lovely rich mouthfeel and with flavours that grow as the wine sits on your tongue, and then suddenly develop another wave of complexity on the back of the grapefruit-like acidity. The aftertaste is disappointing, small and subdued but does hang around if you work the inside of the cheeks. 90 points
