TN: 1970 Ramos Pinto Vintage Port

Decant: 6 hours - Deep red in colour, one of the darker glasses from the 1970 horizontal, still strongly coloured in the rim. The nose is very closed, what little shows is dominated by the minty spirit. There is a lovely, silky mouthfeel, really soft on the tongue. Lots of fruit but the acidity balance is not quite right. Big flavours. The aftertaste is restrained, lingering but not big and tastes of delicate sweet aniseed. 88 points
