TN: 1995 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port

Decant: 2 hours - 52 pipes bottled out of a total production of 385. Deep red colour, with some thinning on the rim. Blueberries on the nose with an interesting coriander twist. Very smooth entry which is swamped by a dry, tannic sensation that in turn is quickly replaced by a huge wave of fruit that masks - but never quite completely - the tannin in the wine. Hugely fruity, leading to a massive aftertaste of blueberry and dark chocolate. Stands up well in comparison to the 1994. Very impressive. 92 points
