TN: 2005 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port

Decant: 3 hours - Deep red, opaque centre, deep purple rim. Blackcurrants and thistle leaves on the nose. Restrained on the palate, little immediate fruit, very tannic but the wine does slowly come into balance. Still seems a bit tanky, with a long dry and grapey finish. Enjoyable, but just too young. 89 points
