TN: 1955 Warre Vintage Port

Decant: 8 hours - Deeper than the younger wines, about the same intensity of colour as the 1970. Showing some strawberry on the nose, promising. Good impact although the texturer is a little thin. Plenty of fruit and still some dry tannins in the wine, together with a good level of acidity which takes some time to settle down. The acidity comes back with a bang on swallowing, followed by a big and pleasant aftertaste that is very long indeed. A nice wine, drinking well. 92 points
