TN: 2005 Meandro do Vale Meao Douro -- Quinta do Vale Meao

Post by Andy Velebil »

It's been about a year or so since I last had this. This bottle is showing far more Brett on the nose and palate than any previous bottles, which is worry-some, and I don't mind a little Brett from time to time. Still plenty of youthfull cherries, tar, and tannins, but again the Brett is a bit distracting. A moderate and drying finish keeps this in balance. If this bottle is representative of others, based on how the Brett is developing, I'd say drink sooner rather than later.
