2007 Dow Vintage Port

Post by Glenn E. »

Tasted at the Graham's lodge with Gustavo Devesas on 02-OCT-2010 prior to the start of the 2010 Port Harvest Tour.

2007 Dow Vintage Port

Great stuff! Very slightly more acidic than the Graham. Slightly less nose, but with some added minerality. Excellent tannins, great structure.

96 points.

What, no 100 points from GE? Not even an ode to JS. [foilhat.gif]

LOL... no, I just don't see 100 points, nor do I see it being particularly better than any of the other big names. Looking back at my various notes on the subject, I have consistently rated it pretty even with the Graham, Taylor, and Fonseca. My scores are creeping up though - I originally had that whole group right in the 93-94 range.
