2003 Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa Douro
Served Blind. My first thought when tasting this wine was “f*** me, this has serious complex layers of fruit.” This is a massively young wine that is amazingly balanced and got better and better the longer it sat in the glass. The minerality in this really stood out, and when this bottle was revealed, I was shocked at the difference between this and the Vinha da Ponte. This is a wine every Douro wine lover must try at least once in their life.
