NV Offley Cachucha Reserve White port

Post by Rune EG »

Not sold in Norway, but found it in Sweden and on Madeira. Light brown colour with a tinge of yellow. Fresh, fruity aroma with a touch of apricot. Mixed balanced taste incl caramel. Relatively dry in the finish. A nice white port for easy drinking. This is one of our two basic white ports that can survive several weeks in the fridge (after opening) without losing too much of it's quality. 88 pts

Do you know if this has a little more age on it than a standard White Port?

I have been told somewhere in Portugal that it is normally abt 7-8 years old.
Just checked their website, and it is saying that the mix consists of grapes from 4 to 9 years, but with a stable average of 7 years, so the rumours I heard seems to be correct.
