Starting to show some bricking but still a pale rhubarb color. I was surprised there was no oxidation on the nose, just plenty of bright cherries. The palate showed some oxidation but this still had plenty of youthful cherries which also was a surprised as I expected this to show more aged notes than it did. A bit straight forward, fully resolved tannins, and a medium-short finish seemed to indicated this was at peak and I don't see it improving any further at this point, yet well stored bottles should hold another 5 or so years. A real treat and I thank Alex for graciously bringing this over to share with Chris and I last night.
